Health Policy

SD Westie has a current health policy that we believe includes appropriate measures to help reduce the risks of the spread of communicable diseases. While we enjoy our time together, we ask participants to be mindful of risk and be willing to cooperate to protect others.

• Current, up-to-date vaccinations against COVID and the seasonal flu are strongly encouraged for all participants.
• We respect the rights of individuals to make their personal choices regarding masking. We ask you to do the same. If someone prefers to be masked and to only dance with masked partners, we fully support it. 
• If you develop any flu-like symptoms within 5 days of attending an SD Westie event, please test for COVID and alert a member of the leadership team should you test positive.
• Please stay home if you are exhibiting symptoms of any kind of illness or rash. We will miss you, and we will eagerly await your healthy return.

Thank you for your cooperation with these policies. SD Westie reserves the right to change policies in regards to vaccines and masking in the event of a change in the public health situation. Please know we will always do our best to use the latest, science-based information to make informed policies. We might not always be perfect and we might not always agree with one another, but we will always expect kindness and empathy. Thank you!
